Discover mountaineering
My first summit
The magical world of the high mountains, just for you, at the top of Pic Bayle !
In summer, Alpe d'Huez offers an opportunity to try mountaineering under the supervision of a guide. Among all the region’s famous summits, Pic Bayle, the highest point of the Grandes Rousses mountains, stands out, reaching an altitude of 3,465m. It is the perfect ascent for a first mountaineering experience, involving use of crampons on the glacier, a passage along a rocky ridge and, of course, exceptional 360° panoramic views.
The Pic Bayle climb does not involve any major technical difficulties and is accessible to any good walkers over the age of 12. However, you should be in good physical condition to make the most of the experience. If you have any questions or doubts, please contact us directly for more information.
Please note that this itinerary is dependent on snow and weather conditions. If conditions are not suitable, another ascent may be proposed to guarantee your safety and ensure your satisfaction.
