The opening of the season begins under the best auspices in Alpe d'Huez with the Ski Force! For 2 days, the biggest ski manufacturers present their equipment and offer you the opportunity to discover the new products in their catalog, but also to try them out. 

Equipped with your boots and your ski poles, all you have to do is go to Les Bergers with your identity card for a unique experience on the slopes!

For those who don't know yet, the Mégavalanche in Alpe d'Huez is one of the most legendary and must-do mountain bike marathons in the world!

Since 1995, thousands of riders depart every year from Pic Blanc in all kinds of weather! The race starts with a mass start on the Sarenne glacier at an altitude of 3330 meters and reaches Allemond at 2600 meters, making this DH Marathon the longest and craziest race in the world.
In addition to this internationally renowned event, there is also the MEGA KID dedicated to children and the e-Megavalanche, a category reserved for electric mountain bikes.

Every cyclist will hear about this legendary cycling event one day. An international cycling event not to be missed...

This is evidenced by the incredible rate of foreign participation: 88%, or more than 6,600 foreign cyclists. Crossing the 186 kilometers and 5,000 meters of positive elevation requires perseverance and courage: the combination of the 5 most mythical passes in France: Croix de Fer, Télégraphe, Galibier, Lautaret and finally the last ascent of Alpe d'Huez.

One of the most beautiful triathlons in the world

The Alpe d'Huez Triathlon offers participants a unique experience. This independent event seeks to defend the vision of triathlon based on the very nature of the sport: personal achievement, respect, solidarity and humility.

With its program of 4 races, the event brings together athletes of different origins and backgrounds, all gravitating around the same spirit, the 21 turns of Alpe d'Huez.

Only the most enduring and courageous cyclists dare to participate in this legendary event.

The challenge ?

Climbing up to six times the ascent of Alpe d'Huez in a single day, covering a maximum of 84 km and 6700 meters of elevation gain, whether by bike, running or walking. This mythical and renowned ascent in the Netherlands is known for its 14 km and 1120 meters of elevation gain, as well as its 21 legendary turns. But the objective is not only to overcome this personal challenge, it is also to collect funds for KWF, the national and official foundation in the Netherlands for the fight against cancer. 

From January 15 to 21, 2024 , the resort is hosting the International Comedy Festival for the 27th time. The opportunity to highlight this popular genre with an exceptional jury and films that guarantee you laughter and good humor in the resort.

From March 16 to 23, 2024, find the biggest electro music festival in Alpe d'Huez ! During the day, you can take advantage of the resort's natural and emblematic setting to vibrate to the rhythm of the best electronic sounds, with exceptional scenography and line-ups . 

At nightfall, the covered stages come alive until 2 a.m. to continue the festivities in optimal comfort. A timeless week where all passions meet in the heart of the Alps with Tomorrowland Winter !

The French Chess Championship will be held at the Palais des Sports in Alpe d'Huez. Come and take part in this prestigious tournament in the company of France's finest grand masters! You can also take advantage of the mornings to discover the tourist attractions of this legendary resort. The Palais des Sports offers optimal playing conditions for an outstanding event!

At the end of winter, Alpe d'Huez allows you to participate in a descent of the Sarenne in a friendly and warm atmosphere. From the start of the DMC to the Pic Blanc , at an altitude of 3,330m, you are preparing to live a unique experience.

The start is given for all participants once the snow has broken off. You then embark on an extraordinary descent in Snowbike! Thrills of which you will be able to share the emotions with the other participants during a friendly brunch on arrival .
