Explore the legendary slopes of Alpe d'Huez

With its expansive ski area, Alpe d'Huez has plenty to delight both beginners and expert skiers. Are you looking for excitement and adventure? Alpe d'Huez has a choice of sensational slopes.

1- Sarenne

Sarenne

- 16km of pure pleasure

Sarenne, the longest black run in Europe! Ski down 16 kilometres with a vertical drop of 2,000m.
With several tough, steep walls and an average gradient of 12.5%, this run starts at the top of Pic Blanc, ending with the gorges of the Sarenne river, at the bottom of Auris-en-Oisans.
Amazement and excitement guaranteed!

Black run

From Rond point des Pistes, take the two sections of the DMC lift and then the Pic Blanc cable car to access the start of this legendary slope. From the Bergers area, take the Marmottes lifts to an altitude of 3,060m.

2- Tunnel

Entrée tunnel

- Gradient up to 70%

For those seeking adventures and lasting memories, Tunnel offers a unique experience. You must ski the 200m long passage carved out of the rock to access this slope. After passing through the mountain, stop to admire the exceptional view of the resort. Take a deep breath before launching into one of the steepest mogul fields in France with its 35° gradient.

Feel the shivers of satisfaction as you flirt with the slope. This extraordinary challenge promises a thrilling adventure.

Black run

From Rond point des Pistes, take the DMC lifts, then the Pic Blanc cable car to an altitude of 3,330m.

3- Fare

- Oz's most "Fare-bulous" slope

Fare, the legendary slope of Oz-Vaujany, is long and difficult, with a few technical passages. In spite of its pleasant excursion among the fir trees, it is not a slope to be taken lightly. The route makes this run unique in the Alpe d'Huez ski area.

Top tip: this run faces north, so try it in the morning when the snow is less icy: optimal snow conditions and the serenity of the morning.

Black run

From the Alpette lift, take the Chalets slope, then go left at the first intersection where Fare begins. The slope can also be accessed via Clos Giraud chairlift and Alpette gondola lift.
