The history of the Bus Alpin

Gourmet dining through the seasons

The story of Le Bus Alpin is above all that of two people who are passionate about gastronomy and the mountains: Gregory and Magali. Graduates of hotel management schools, they travelled the length and breadth of France for several years, working in prestigious establishments such as the Grand Hôtel de St Jean Cap Ferrat, the Byblos Courchevel and Saint Tropez, the Spoon Alain Ducasse, the Impérial Palace Annecy and the Auberge du Père Bise in Talloires.

Armed with this wealth of experience, they decided to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure by opening their first restaurant: the Hôtel de la Poste & du Lion d'Or in Vézelay. For seven years, they put their passion at the service of their customers, offering refined cuisine and a warm welcome.

An Alpine dream

Attracted by the spectacular scenery and unique atmosphere of the Alps, they settled in l'Alpe d'Huez. It was here that they made their dream come true: to create a restaurant in their own image, where gastronomy and respect for the environment go hand in hand in perfect harmony.
